The custom jewelry design process

So when someone decides they want a custom piece made, they can come to Aydin or Sami, and we will work together to create a sketch of the concept of what their future design will be. Sami and Aydin, our custom jewelry experts, will create a sketch based on your ideas and include specifics to make your custom piece complete.
We enjoy creating pieces that are unique to each person who walks through our doors, transforming them into magnificent, one-of-a-kind works of art. Here is how we do it:
1. We begin carving out the design in wax after the concept drawing is completed and the client approves the design.
2. The Master Jeweler will often place the gemstones into the wax model. In this case, he incorporates the stone of your choice into the model; you can also add diamonds to your piece to enhance its brilliance.
3. Once the details in the wax model have been finalized, and the client has given final approval, the completed wax form is joined to a wax rod called the sprue and suspended in a steel cylinder, where an investment material similar to plaster is poured.
4. The cylinder is baked and hardened in an oven for around 10 hours. As the wax melts from within the hardened investment material through the hollow tube formed by the sprue, a negative form of the original wax sculpture remains in the center.
5. Your final design is cast in white gold, yellow gold, or platinum. The rough casting(s) are cleaned and polished meticulously. Handcrafted connecting components and gemstones are used. A final polish and deep clean are performed to enhance the brilliance, shine, and texture, bringing out the beauty of the details.
When the precious stones are added, with everything complete, you are free to show off your special and custom-designed jewelry.
